Loretta Odro

I’m a highly capable newly graduated Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing evidence-based care to a diverse patient population. I build strong relationships with patients and families, and I’m familiar with patient advocacy procedures—skilled in performing examinations, diagnosing acute and chronic conditions, interpreting diagnostic studies, and communicating results.

In my Nurse Practitioner clinical experience at Cape Fear Valley Urology, I conduct outpatient evaluations and follow-up visits for conditions including BPH, UTIs, IC, OAB, ED, incontinence, hematuria, prostate cancer, and kidney stones. I perform office-based procedures such as catheter insertion/removal, PVR assessments, uroflowmetry, and testosterone injections, and I develop personalized treatment plans with lifestyle counseling while prescribing and managing medications (including alpha blockers, antibiotics, PDE inhibitors, and hormonal therapies). I also coordinate care with radiology, pharmacy, physical therapy, and referring providers, assist with in-office cystoscopies and prostate biopsies, and help manage chronic conditions with multimodal approaches.

I bring deep clinical grounding from prior nursing roles across pre-op/post-op (PACU), inpatient recovery, and operating room settings, along with home health experience providing medication administration, wound care, pain management, and hospice care. I’m also driven by continuous improvement—completing a Johns Hopkins research project on medication administration errors that included an IRB application and poster presentation—so I can deliver consistently high standards of care through collaboration, documentation, and quality initiatives.
