I am Lionel M Samvura, a Zimbabwean Java Software Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology. I have a strong interest in continuous integration and containerization using tools like Docker. I am also knowledgeable in Databricks Lakehouse Accreditation, service orchestration using Kubernetes, and Spring Restful APIs. I have experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.

In my previous role as an Intermediate Java Developer at Continuous DVT, I consulted for Discovery Health, maintaining and enhancing their insurance system. I worked with teams across the world to ensure the successful completion of key features. I also collaborated with the claims team and AI models to handle claims and detect outliers. Additionally, I developed a program to extract metadata from resumes using EdenAI and store it in a Java vector database using Python.

As an Intermediate Software Developer at AFROSOFT, I supervised and led a team of junior Java developers. I oversaw the development of a new club member subscriptions application and collaborated with clients from Swaziland and Burundi on a microloans system. I also have experience as an Applications Development Supervisor at PREMIER SERVICE MEDICAL INVESTMENT (PSMI), where I led the team in building a web and mobile application for validating Covid-19 certificates and claiming funds in real-time from insurance providers.
