At Tutor.com, I tutor English and composition online, helping students across disciplines improve their writing. I adapt lessons to students’ needs and work with essay structure, grammar, and MLA, APA, and Chicago formats.
At the Writing Center at South Dakota State University, I helped undergraduate and graduate students strengthen their reading and writing across humanities, social sciences, and STEM. I also showed students how to use interlibrary loan and assisted with outreach.
As a copyeditor for The Eighteenth Century: Theory and Interpretation and Victorian Periodicals Review, I assisted with editing essays and book reviews in preparation for publication. These roles gave me experience applying Chicago style.
At the Agricultural Heritage Museum at South Dakota State University, I wrote and edited articles, researched exhibits, and helped with social media and blog posts. I hold a Bachelor of Science in English with a minor in Professional Communication from South Dakota State University.
