LIKOPO KOLOI

Likopo Koloi is a seasoned media professional with a strong background in radio broadcasting and management. She began her career in 2018 as a junior reporter at a local radio station, where she quickly demonstrated exceptional skills in journalism, content development, and audience engagement.

In recognition of her dedication and leadership potential, she was promoted in 2020 to the role of Programmes Manager, overseeing content strategy, scheduling, and on-air quality control. Just two years later, she rose to the position of Station Manager, a role she continues to hold with distinction. In this capacity, she leads overall station operations, manages teams, and drives strategic growth and innovation in broadcasting.

She initially pursued a Diploma in Mass Communication at the National University of Lesotho, where she developed a strong foundation in media theory, public communication, and writing. Although she exited the programme in her second year to pursue professional opportunities, she has since established herself as a key figure in radio management and editorial writing.

One of her most impactful achievements has been leading a flagship youth development project that fosters leadership qualities in young children. Initiated in 2018 under her management, the project has grown to become the station’s most successful and celebrated initiative—empowering children through public speaking, mentorship, and civic engagement.

Her expertise lies in radio leadership, programme development, and impactful communication—skills that continue to shape her contributions to the media landscape in Lesotho. She is deeply passionate about using radio as a tool for education, empowerment, and meaningful social change.
