Likhitha Chaitanya

I’m a skilled metallurgical engineer with experience in material testing, characterization, process optimization, and research-based problem-solving. I focus on turning findings from testing and inspection into actionable insights through root cause analysis and clear documentation.

In my current role as a Trainee at Epiroc Minig PVT Limited, Hyderabad, I support premium processing and quality inspection of cemented carbide components, including tumbling, dimensional measurement, surface evaluation, and defect identification. I coordinate with R&D to help drive root cause analysis for improvements.

Previously, I worked as a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) at Jai Raj Steel, supporting steel melting shop (SMS) operations through technical writing and documentation, and assisting in LADLE REFINING FURNACE (LRF) for production support. My internship experience includes processing and characterization research on magnetic materials at DMRL (DRDO) and hands-on exposure to blast furnace steel production processes at Rastriya Ispat Nigam Ltd. I also built project experience through experimental study on recycling aerospace alloy scrap via stir casting and mechanical property evaluation.
