Ley Mwangi

I’m a motivated and detail-oriented Mechatronics Engineering student with a strong foundation in data-intensive systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), and technical problem-solving. I bring a proven ability to deconstruct complex systems, identify root causes of failure, and contribute to process enhancements.

Through my projects, I’ve built hands-on capability from simulation to automated sensing. For my Final Year Project, I developed a VR-based PCB Assembly Plant Simulator—interpreting circuit diagrams, running diagnostic tests, and improving assembly workflow efficiency. In my Second Year Project, I created an Intelligent Greenhouse System using sensors and microcontrollers to process real-time data and automatically trigger irrigation and ventilation.

I’ve also strengthened my practical engineering approach through industrial training. At CDED (DeKUT), I assisted with the development, assembly, and testing of prototype electronic equipment, and supported diagnostics and troubleshooting on embedded systems and electronic circuits. At Patrix AutoGarage, I supported senior mechanics using a systematic root-cause analysis workflow, contributing to safe, quality-focused troubleshooting and repair verification.
