Leah Wanjiru
@leahwanjiru
Communications specialist blending corporate strategy, multimedia production, and audience data to build trusted public campaigns.
What I'm looking for
I’m a communications specialist with hands-on experience driving public relations across corporate and public-sector institutions. I combine communication strategy with digital execution to keep stakeholders informed and reputational risk contained—especially within strict regulatory environments.
In my corporate role, I drafted an institutional Communication Strategy and Corporate Communication Policy to guide long-term stakeholder engagement. I also handle daily social media and community engagement, producing daily multimedia assets including scriptwriting, photography, video editing, and graphic design, while writing press releases, newsletters, and feature articles for mainstream media.
I use audience perception surveys on LinkedIn and Twitter to improve content relevance, and I translate insights into better messaging and stronger engagement. I’ve also managed public inquiries through customer service workflows and coordinated CSR initiatives to strengthen trust and responsiveness.
Earlier, I co-led a digital campaign, producing infographics and video content while monitoring public feedback to adjust active messaging during national unrest. I also supported cross-department coordination, partnered with IFDC to draft an Agricultural Communication Strategy that secured KSh 500,000 in collaborative funding, and helped launch branding collateral that gained widespread stakeholder adoption.
