I’m a results-driven BI Developer and Data Engineer focused on building scalable ETL pipelines, optimizing SQL workflows, and supporting enterprise data platforms in banking and cloud environments. I bring strong data integration, data quality validation, and workflow orchestration capabilities to keep business-critical operations reliable.

At Nedbank, I deliver scalable data pipelines supporting Ab Initio applications and enterprise data integration initiatives. I develop and optimize SQL queries for ETL processing, maintain workflows using Control-M and Denodo, and conduct data validation and testing to improve data quality and governance compliance. I also support SLA development and identify operational improvement opportunities.

Previously as a Data Engineer Intern, I built and maintained ETL pipelines provisioning enterprise data for downstream analytics and reporting. I worked with distributed systems and cloud-based tools to improve scalability and processing performance, optimized SQL transformations and ingestion workflows, and performed data quality assurance checks in enterprise datasets.

I also grow by shipping practical work: I migrated a containerised Airflow pipeline to the cloud using Apache Spark and AWS, developed a cloud-based portfolio website with AWS Lambda, SES, DynamoDB, and API Gateway, and designed data models and ETL workflows with SSIS and Power BI. My training and certifications—including Denodo Platform 9 Certified Developer Associate, Databricks Fundamentals, and Google Data Analytics Professional—keep my focus on production-ready data engineering.
