I'm a marriage and family therapist trainee providing strengths-based therapy for children, adults, couples, and families.
What I'm looking for
I'm providing individual, family, and child therapy through Shasta County of Education's BRIDGES to Success Program, maintaining a supervised caseload of approximately 10 clients weekly. I use developmentally appropriate, play-based, culturally responsive, and strengths-based interventions to build emotional awareness, coping skills, and self-regulation.
At the CSUC Counselor Training Center, I conducted intake assessments, collaborated on treatment plans, and facilitated individual and couple sessions focused on recognizing and breaking negative cycles. I've also completed 40 hours of Motivational Interviewing training and practice and earned Youth Mental Health First Aid certification.
As a Family Specialist and Family Support Coach at Parents in Training, I helped youth participate in Child and Family Team meetings, coached caregivers, and developed individualized strategies rooted in each family's culture, strengths, and preferences.
My crisis and behavioral-support background includes supporting more than 315 people through Crisis Text Line, conducting risk assessments and collaborative safety planning, and delivering evidence-based in-home behavior interventions alongside BCBAs.
