Laura Ilu

I'm conducting research at the University of Cincinnati Center for Cardiovascular Research in Dr. Lynch’s Laboratory, investigating inflammatory and molecular mechanisms involved in atherosclerosis progression.

I support experimental design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation while maintaining laboratory protocols, documentation, and research records. I also participate in research discussions and presentations.

At UC Medical Center, I assist patients with daily living activities, monitor and record vital signs, support transfers, and communicate changes to the healthcare team. I value compassionate care, patient safety, and accurate documentation.

Alongside my Biomedical Sciences degree, I've supported chemistry instruction, tutoring, herbarium work, and student organizations including the African Students Association, American Cancer Society, and American Medical Student Association.
