Kushaal Kankane

I’m a Computer Science undergraduate who builds backend systems and full-stack web applications using JavaScript (MERN stack). I focus on REST APIs, database integration, and scalable system design to ship efficient, real-world features.

In my projects, I developed a real-time multi-user WebRTC video conferencing application (up to 6 peers) with a mesh-based peer-to-peer architecture. I also built a custom signaling server using Node.js and Socket.IO to manage room state, SDP offer/answer exchange, and ICE candidate relaying.

As a team lead on a full-stack social media app, I led a 4-member team and developed the complete backend architecture. I designed scalable REST APIs for authentication, posts, comments, and likes, and built backend support for concurrent interactions and media uploads.

Through my Electronic Arts Software Engineering Virtual Experience Program, I proposed and documented a feature for EA Sports College Football, created class diagrams and C++ header implementations, and optimized an existing codebase by improving data structures. I’m also Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900) certified.
