What I'm looking for
As an experienced school librarian and media coordinator, I am dedicated to fostering a love for reading and learning among students in grades K-5. Currently, I serve at Creekside Elementary School, where I educate over 530 students in literacy development and digital learning. My role involves teaching classes across all grade levels, leading research projects, and facilitating book clubs, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to engage with literature in a meaningful way.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated closely with K-5 teachers on various projects, managed a diverse collection of over 10,000 print books, and provided professional development for staff. My commitment to enhancing library resources is evident through my successful grant writing efforts. Previously, I was recognized as a teacher-of-the-year finalist and have consistently helped my students achieve high scores in reading, math, and science, demonstrating my ability to differentiate instruction and support gifted learners effectively.
