What I'm looking for

I'm seeking work advancing justice and equity for Indigenous peoples through culturally grounded policy, advocacy, research, restorative justice, and community collaboration.

I write comprehensive, culturally relevant Gladue reports for Indigenous women at the Ontario Native Women’s Association, drawing on in-depth interviews with clients, families, and communities to inform fair sentencing and rehabilitation decisions.

Previously, I oversaw ONWA’s Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls portfolio, its largest portfolio, and produced research, reports, briefing papers, submissions, and presentations addressing systemic violence, justice gaps, and longstanding community needs. I collaborated with community leaders, government officials, and stakeholders to integrate Indigenous perspectives into policy decisions.

At Nishnawbe Aski Nation, I supported justice initiatives under the Justice Portfolio, analyzed legislation, prepared policy documents and proposals, and advocated for equitable access to justice for Indigenous peoples. As Acting Manager of Justice, I also oversaw the Justice Portfolio, budgets, and departmental strategies.

My earlier work in crisis homes and child welfare support strengthened my commitment to trauma-informed, harm-reduction approaches for women and families navigating violence, abuse, and complex systems.
