At the Advanced Robotics and Controls Lab @ UC San Diego, I co-authored a paper evaluating two sensor types for safe needle placement near chest-area tumors, accounting for breathing motion. I also led mechanical design of two data-collection testbeds that replicate chest and robot-arm motion.
In the Daniela Valdez-Jasso Lab @ UC San Diego, I contributed to research on cardiovascular adaptations to pulmonary arterial hypertension. I performed wet-lab techniques, organized data from animal models, and conducted planar biaxial testing of right ventricular tissue.
With the Triton Prosthetics Society, I directed development of a low-cost above-knee prosthetic prototype and led design of its motor-actuated, PID-controlled knee. The prototype cost about $200, and the project won Best Project among competing society teams.
