At BIGFISHGAMES, I design Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL and AWS RDS topologies for game event and player transaction data. I’ve optimized reporting queries on tables exceeding 180 million rows, reducing p95 latency from 840 milliseconds to 310 milliseconds.
I also developed range partitions for a 240-million-row event history, shortening nightly analytics extraction from 68 minutes to 24 minutes. I engineered recovery procedures and tested failovers to verify recovery objectives across four drills.
At AGIO INC. (MSP), I investigated database performance for hedge fund trading workflows. I helped reduce a SQL Server stored procedure’s runtime from 45 seconds to under 2 seconds and cut reporting freshness delays by tuning PostgreSQL replicas.
Across my database administration roles, I’ve worked with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, AWS RDS, and Azure SQL. At NANOSOFT / TECHNATION, I modernized databases through AWS RDS and Azure SQL migrations, preserving source-to-target row parity with no recorded data loss.
