Kenny Gene Robert Selotan

I’m an Electronics Engineering graduate specializing in embedded systems, robotics, and autonomous navigation. I’ve developed embedded software, integrated sensors, and implemented localization algorithms using Python, C/C++, and MATLAB.

I’m hands-on with embedded platforms and interfaces, including ESP8266 and OpenWrt, and I work across GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI, and PWM. I focus on building reliable autonomy by combining dead reckoning, IMU and wheel encoder data, and sensor fusion with practical localization and robot kinematics.

In my Biomedical Engineering internship, I assisted preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of medical equipment, including inspection, calibration, diagnostics, and technical documentation to support equipment reliability. I also supported administrative records and maintained electronic databases as an Engineering/Administrative Staff Intern.

On projects, I led a differential drive autonomous mobile robot where I designed dead reckoning for navigation, integrated ESP8266 with embedded sensors and motor control, and evaluated accuracy using MATLAB RMSE error analysis. I also led an automated Cocopeat production system by designing an embedded automation workflow with real-time monitoring, hardware testing, debugging, and system optimization—driven by my passion for robotics, embedded AI, industrial automation, and intelligent systems, and my goal to contribute to innovative engineering teams in Japan.
