What I'm looking for

I'm looking to write, edit, and advise on work that helps readers understand democracy, education, history, and public life through clear, human-centered storytelling.

I've spent 16+ years publishing commentary on democracy, education, history, and public life with Michigan Public Radio and the USA Today Network, including the Holland Sentinel and Battle Creek Enquirer. My recurring radio essays translate history and civics into accessible stories about Michigan life, schools, and civic culture.

I also write the Undercurrents Substack and authored the novels Ghost Love and Redemption. Through ClearPath Digital Consulting, I help writers and small organizations sharpen their brand voice, editorial strategy, arguments, and long-form content.
