I'm Kayla M. Stevens, an Educational Administration graduate from Prairie View A&M University, currently teaching 8th grade English Language Arts and ESOL. My approach as a transactional leader emphasizes fostering independent thinking and effective communication among my students. I strive to build positive relationships with both students and stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative environment that promotes success.

Throughout my teaching career, I have been recognized for my commitment to excellence, receiving accolades such as the 2023 Claughton Middle Teacher of the Year. I take pride in designing meaningful lessons that not only engage students but also help them master language proficiency. My experience includes mentoring new teachers and piloting new curriculums, where I utilize data-driven instruction to enhance learning outcomes.
