Katherine Hadar

Katherine Hadar is a filmmaker, screenwriter, director and professor. She is an avid explorer both nationally and internationally. Katie has worked with teams from National Geographic, Sharp Entertainment, the Sundance Film Festival, as well as writers and producers from around the world.Katie has written, directed and produced 17 short films to date. Her most recent film has been featured on the Film Festival Circuit at the Sun Valley Film Festival and at the New Orleans Film Festival. Katie’s cinematography experience ranges from 1st AC to DP, on multiple camera formats including Canon, Nikon, Red, Black Magic, Panasonic, 16mm. Her experience also entails studio lighting and indie/low/no budget and outdoor lighting. She also has experience working accessories to filmmaking technical requirements like dollies, sliders, jibs, steady-cam and the like. Katie’s full-circle knowledge of visual media content production gives her the ability to quickly analyze footage, make story-driven decisions and create appealing content for online delivery. Her specific editing strengths include typography, motion details, content speed delivery (15-10,000fps) for effectiveness and narrative cutting for docu-story/ inter-views.
