At Marsabit County Government, I worked as Maikona ward manager, providing a link between members of the county assembly and the electorate. I also participated in county nutrition surveys and community data collection.
At Meru General Hospital and Kenyatta National Hospital, I worked on growth monitoring and promotion, nutrition counselling, and the evaluation and management of nutrition problems. I prepared special diets and followed up with discharged patients needing further care.
My nutrition work has included assessment and growth monitoring with AMREF-Kenya and PACIDA, as well as research at Meru General Hospital on factors affecting the nutrition status of children aged 0–59 months. I hold a diploma in community nutrition from Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) and am continuing a bachelor’s degree in human nutrition and dietetics at Kenya Methodist University.
