What I'm looking for

I'm looking to build and operate high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems in regulated financial environments, combining hands-on Java, Kafka, and AWS engineering with client-facing delivery, architecture leadership, and production ownership.

At Bank of America, I’m re-architecting a batch-driven AML platform into a Kafka-based event-driven system that enables continuous near-real-time processing of transaction and case data.

I’ve built payment, trading, and compliance platforms across Assurant, Southwest Airlines, USAA, and Dimensional Sys. My work includes a tokenization service handling 400K+ transactions per minute at 99.99% availability and a multi-broker trading platform spanning equities and options.

I turn trading-desk and client requirements into shipped systems, from low-latency order routing and market-data streaming to pre-trade risk controls and immutable audit trails. I’m hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, reactive services, Kubernetes, and AWS.

I also improve how teams deliver and operate software: cutting deployment time from four hours to 20 minutes, raising test coverage from 15% to 80%, and building observability and GitHub Copilot workflows that support reliable production ownership.
