Kamal Salisu
@kamalsalisu
Software engineer at Makrwatch who grew a new business line into the company’s largest.
NigeriaWhat I'm looking for
At Makrwatch, I was the sole engineer on Talent Agency, a new creator talent management business line that became the company’s largest. I worked with product and operations stakeholders to shape requirements and deliver a sponsorship workflow system that replaced manual tracking across multiple tools.
I also shipped AI-powered systems that detected sponsored creator content to speed up billing and screened creators for brand campaigns, replacing outsourced manual review. Before Makrwatch, I owned the backend of AFEX’s ComX digital commodities trading platform through launch. I’m now an MS in AI candidate at UT Austin and am moving into product management.
