I’m a Medical Coding Backup Team Lead with a strong focus on accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding to support compliance, documentation quality, and improved reimbursement. I bring experience across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings, with a commitment to staying current with coding changes.

I manage and support coding workflows by reviewing and auditing coding practices to ensure alignment with industry regulations, payer requirements, and organizational standards. I mentor junior coders through training and guidance, helping teams stay up to date on coding practices and healthcare regulations.

I also lead denial management work—analyzing denial reasons, correcting claim errors, and preparing appeals with supporting documentation. By identifying trends and collaborating with coding, billing, and clinical teams, I work to reduce recurring denials and improve revenue cycle flow.

Beyond coding, I’ve worked in patient-facing roles such as Medical Scribe, Virtual Medical Assistant, and Hospital Pharmacist. That background strengthens my ability to verify documentation, coordinate care processes, support prior authorizations, and apply medication safety and pharmacy law knowledge with confidence.
