Julie Borrego
@julieborrego
I’m a Director of Therapy Services leading inpatient and outpatient clinical operations to improve outcomes, patient experience, and safety.
What I'm looking for
I’m a results-focused healthcare executive who provides leadership, drives strategy, and translates clinical expertise into measurable operational improvements. I lead cross-functional teams to transform culture around expense reduction, patient experience, engagement, and improved patient outcomes.
In my current role as Director of Therapy Services at Lovelace Westside Hospital, I direct strategic, operational, fiscal, and personnel activities for therapy departments, overseeing Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Wound Care, and Licensed Massage Therapy. I plan and evaluate complex therapy projects/programs that improve clinical outcomes and customer/patient satisfaction, while mentoring and coaching subordinates and representing the organization in the community.
Earlier, I advanced from Rehabilitation Services Supervisor to Rehabilitation Services Manager within a 3-year time period and managed an ~$8 million operating budget with 30+ direct reports. I’ve also served as a primary NICU, PICU, and pediatric clinician, completed Leadership Sandoval County, and finished LEAN Leadership Training & Development—now actively working toward CPHQ through the NM Hospital Association.
