I am a Medical Coding Specialist with hands-on experience coding pathology services and ensuring strong compliance with current guidelines and payer-specific requirements. As a Coding Lead, I assign CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and MIPS codes, then review and audit pathology reports to resolve discrepancies and clarify documentation with pathologists or lab staff.

I enjoy leading through detail and consistency: I train a team of coders on complex coding scenarios, policy changes, and professional development. I also monitor coding trends and denial patterns, and I proactively recommend workflow improvements and education to reduce errors and optimize reimbursement.

Alongside coding leadership, I’ve built practical billing and claims experience through roles in non-emergency medical transportation and related administrative work. I organize patient medical costs, send invoices, develop payment plans through patient outreach, and handle claims completion and denial resolution for maximum reimbursement using electronic and paper claim workflows.

My work style is reflected in how I’m described by professors, coworkers, and peers: “hard-working, punctual, creative and responsible.” I pursue credentialing through AAPC—currently finalizing a Certified Professional Compliance Officer course (exam pending) and previously earning CPC—supporting the way I bring organized documentation, customer service, and special-project readiness to every assignment.
