What I'm looking for

I'm looking to help teams modernize and maintain production Rails applications incrementally, solve performance and technical-debt problems, and leave maintainable systems their developers can confidently own.

At OmbuLabs/FastRuby.io, I modernize production Rails applications for 12 client companies, including major upgrades from Rails 2 through Rails 8.1, API work, modularization, cloud migrations, and production performance fixes. I’ve cut deploy time from 10 to 6 minutes, reduced test-suite runtime from 60 to 30 minutes, and resolved severe memory pressure on a public Rails application.

I also build and run multi-tenant SaaS products independently, including clinical, retail, and restaurant platforms. As a Rails contributor and open-source maintainer, I contribute to Rails, next_rails, RailsBump, FastRuby’s audit tooling, MDN Web Docs, and AI-assisted Rails upgrade workflows.
