@jroy
Senior mechanical engineer specializing in medical devices, industrial automation, and visualization workflows.
What I'm looking for
I am a senior mechanical engineer with broad experience taking products from concept through production and field support, focusing on medical devices and industrial automation. I combine hands-on prototyping with rigorous analysis—tolerance stack-ups, FEA, thermal, and reliability testing—to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.
I have led design efforts across disposable components, assemblies, and system-level layouts while interfacing with vendors and clients to transition designs to OEM production and improve manufacturability and cost. I also developed visualization workflows, converting CAD and NURBS assets into UE5-ready meshes and creating animations that highlight human factors and ergonomics.
I thrive on iterative development: building test fixtures, executing DOE and benchmark tests, and collaborating with manufacturing, service, and quality teams to resolve field issues and optimize production. My work balances practical prototyping skills with formal engineering analysis to drive reliable, manufacturable products to market.
