Josephmartin Izuchukwu Korie

I’m a Junior exploration geophysicist with applied experience integrating ERT, EM, IP, SP, Gravity, Magnetic, MT, and GPR geophysical datasets for resource exploration and environmental studies. I bring a strong field-and-processing mindset, from ground acquisition to QAQC validation and interpretation.

In my recent role at the Geological Survey of Slovenia, I supported an antimony exploration project in the Trojana region. I assisted with ground geophysics data acquisition, processed ERT, GPR, and IP datasets, and performed QAQC data validation and 2D subsurface modelling.

I also strengthened my technical foundation as a Lab Technician at Anambra State Material Testing Lab (ASMTL), where I prepared and tested soil samples for CBR, permeability, and compaction stability tests. I developed four Python scripts that digitized and automated geotechnical calculations, reducing processing time by ~80%.

Across research projects, I build models and translate results into decisions—like constructing a 3D geological model in Leapfrog Geo and estimating gold resources using kriging and inverse distance weighting. I’m driven by applied AI/ML workflows, GIS, subsurface modelling, and clear technical reporting to deliver reliable exploration insights.
