JORGE GERARDO CHAVEZ ORTIZ

I’m an Architecture graduate from the National University of Engineering (UNI) with a proactive profile and a strong orientation toward design, research, and urban planning. I bring experience in architectural design, technical documentation, and urban development projects.

I’m especially drawn to circular economy, sustainable construction, and participatory design processes, with a clear purpose: improving quality of life through environmentally responsible design and passive comfort strategies. I also value research-driven decisions in both design and planning work.

My training and recognition include a 1st Place win in the “Architectural Design Competition” and the Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture completed in the New Academic and Administrative Pavilion (August 2024). I’ve also secured support through the “RIBA Norman Foster travelling scholarship” and a “Research Grant” in the Undergraduate Research Funding Competition.

Professionally, I’ve supported sustainable, educational, research, and residential building design as an Architectural Assistant / Site Supervisor. I also contributed to urban planning documentation as an Urban Planning Intern for the Specific Plan with Transit-Oriented Development approach—Vía Expresa Grau (PE-DOT-GRAU)—and helped in heritage work at the Municipality of Lima’s Heritage Office.
