@jorgecayama

I build production ML, NLP, and LLM systems that solve operational problems.

At SARENET, I build production machine-learning, NLP, and LLM applications, from support-email routing to retrieval over internal documentation and natural-language firewall analysis. I rebuilt an affected-service classifier across 12,000 labelled messages, raising correct end-to-end routing from 33% to 87%.

I’ve delivered calibrated Spanish-language classifiers, RAG pipelines with LangChain and Chroma, and FastAPI services with versioned models and reproducible training workflows. Previously at Qaroní, I led five production AI projects spanning semantic search, people analytics, sales forecasting, document categorization, and facial-recognition attendance.

My foundation is a Ph.D. in Mathematics and Statistics and ten years across scientific computing and production software. I’ve also developed high-performance C++ point-cloud software and published three peer-reviewed articles on numerical methods for the fractional Laplacian.
