At The Field Museum of Natural History, I researched a large scientific collection and analyzed morphological data to investigate taxonomic questions. I also refined the identification and organization of specimen lots by comparing information across sources.
I maintained records involving collection and database information, and shared research findings with colleagues and collaborators in an international museum environment.
My PhD in Biological Sciences (Zoology) at Museu Nacional, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, focused on a taxonomic review of Stelliferinae. My research has also included reviewing species complexes and examining morphological variation in fishes.
I’ve authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications, reviewed for scientific journals, and presented research at conferences. I use R for data analysis and have experience with scientific databases, collection management, and scientific imaging.
