Joel Andres Rojas Gonzalez
@joelandresrojasgonza
I study antimicrobial-resistant bacteria, microbiomes, and infectious diseases through cellular and molecular biotechnology.
What I'm looking for
I'm investigating in vitro virulence in low-risk Pseudomonas aeruginosa clones from patients with bacteremia at the Instituto de Biomedicina de Sevilla in Dr. M. E. Pachón's lab.
My work spans biology, genetics, biodiversity, and public health, including genetics-resource technical work for the Dominican Republic's Ministry of Environment and training educators on sickle cell disease. I'm pursuing a master's in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Trento, and my interests include microbiomes, antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and HIV- and virus-induced sexually transmitted diseases.
