Hamza Moufakkir

Conducted master's thesis research in the Nanobiotechnology for Diagnostics group, focusing on the design and analytical evaluation of a competitive lateral flow immunoassay for Staphylococcus aureus AIP1. Developed and optimized immunoassay components including bioconjugation, ELISA, and lateral flow test strips.

Master's thesis (TFM) in the Nanobiotechnology for Diagnostics group (Nb4D) at IQAC-CSIC, a CIBER-BBN group, supervised by Dr. J. Pablo Salvador and Dr. Carla Ferrero.
Project — "Towards a Point-of-Care Biosensor": design and analytical evaluation of a competitive lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) for Staphylococcus aureus AIP1, the quorum-sensing peptide released during active infection.
Technique

Final research project (PFE) of my Master's in Biology and Health, carried out at Institut Pasteur du Maroc. Ranked first in the master's cohort.
Project: the local haemorrhagic activity of Bitis arietans (puff adder) venom, and its inhibition by doxycycline and ascorbic acid.
What I did:
- Ran the in vivo experimental work in a murine model, including venom preparation, dosing and animal handling

Pursuing a Master's in Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Barcelona, with thesis research conducted at IQAC-CSIC on a lateral flow immunoassay for Staphylococcus aureus detection.

Completed a Master's in Biology and Health at Hassan II University, ranking first in the cohort. Research at Institut Pasteur du Maroc focused on the hemorrhagic activity of Bitis arietans venom and its inhibition.
