Currently, I train and manage a team of 31 employees, both state-side and offshore, utilizing Epic to resolve denied professional claims for a multi-specialty physician group. I analyze trends, optimize operational processes with clients, and collaborate with operations to ensure seamless patient billing, eligibility verification, and provider credentialing.

I led the payment posting team, handling batching, posting, and balancing payments from various sources including insurance companies and patients. My responsibilities also included processing wire payments, credit cards, and lockbox payments, managing refunds, verifying payments against contracts, and ensuring proper billing of patient balances.

My duties included medical billing for institutional and professional claims, encompassing workman’s compensation, automobile insurance, and other third-party liability insurances. I managed aged accounts, conducted complex denial research, participated in client meetings, and addressed patient, client, and insurance carrier inquiries while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

I was responsible for an average $8,000,000.00 inventory of high-dollar medical claims for multiple hospitals and physician groups. I resolved these claims through negotiations with attorneys, addressing insurance company issues, submitting appeals, and direct patient contact, while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and FDCPA regulations.
