At American Printing House for the Blind, I developed and facilitated educational programs for K-12 students at The Dot Experience, and led tabletop and other outreach programs. I also reviewed programs for disability accommodations and wrote about programs and exhibits.
I created training documents on accommodating and working with visitors with disabilities, and advised on accessibility best practices and eliminating ableist language. As a Communications Associate, I edited and contributed to three company newsletters and wrote promotional content for APH Press titles.
Earlier, I wrote blog posts on blindness-related topics and created product descriptions for the APH website. My connection to the blind community also includes serving as a scorer for the Kentucky Regional Braille Challenge and as First Vice President and Treasurer of American Council of Blind Students.
