Since 1984, I’ve researched Finno-Ugric languages and long-range comparative linguistics. I’m currently writing a dissertation at the University of Tartu on the commune origin of languages and the Paleolithic Continuity Theory.
As an independent translator, I’ve worked in literary and scientific translation, particularly in linguistics and anthropology. I’m translating Enn Haabsaar’s essay Soome Ugri Saamine from Estonian to French and Meelis Friedenthal’s novel Kuldne Aega.
I’ve taught French as a foreign language since 1997, including for Alliance Française de Porto, Alliance Française de Moncton, and Institut français de Lituanie / Prancūzų institutas Lietuvoje. My teaching has included general and corporate French, as well as DELF/DALF and TCF preparation.
