Daniel Gonzalez

At my core, I'm an athletic, goofy, nerdy family man who loves the outdoors. I like spending my free time with my wife and son, as well as my cat Eleiko (guess the reference). Like most people, I highly value work-life balance; I'm particularly interested in a 4-day workweek.

Professionally, I have a fairly traditional software engineering background with significant experience in DevOps workflows (observability, CI/CD, automation, etc.) and microservice development. I have a solid track record of developing internal tooling that measurably helps the organization (I would love to chat about this!), and I feel best when working remotely with a close-knit team. Experience has made me a pragmatic subscriber of the Boring Technology club (https://boringtechnology.club/), but I'm far from dogmatic.

I'm no 10x engineer but I'm a competent, kind, and reliable teammate. I'm always learning and striving to be better. My colleagues always end up becoming like family to me, so naturally I don't put up with any kind of bullying, talking down to others, or strong egos. I've had the fortune of being part of some highly effective teams, and experience has taught me that trust, humility, and kindness are essential to developing great teams.
