I’m a PhD researcher building ML models for aviation emissions and fuel forecasting.
What I'm looking for
I’m a PhD Researcher at the University of Manchester, focused on ML for aviation emissions. I develop data-driven models to estimate aircraft fuel consumption and emissions across 3+ flight phases using large-scale FDR, ADS-B, and satellite telemetry datasets.
I build and benchmark machine learning models including CART, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, and LSTM to compare predictive accuracy under varying flight conditions. I process high-frequency time-series data in Python and maintain reproducible, modular data pipelines that support ongoing team research.
I also integrate physics-based aerospace constraints into ML pipelines to improve interpretability and reduce reliance on purely data-driven predictions. Previously, I supported climate and transport research through emission modelling and GIS-based visualisations, and I’ve helped translate complex analysis into clear stakeholder-ready insights.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Developing data-driven models to estimate aircraft fuel consumption and emissions across multiple flight phases using large-scale FDR, ADS-B, and satellite telemetry datasets.
