What I'm looking for

I’m looking to own backend services end-to-end—designing GraphQL/REST APIs, microservices, caching and real-time features on AWS/EKS—while partnering with DevOps and using AI-assisted tooling to ship reliable code faster. I’m also open to backend-heavy full stack roles where the primary focus is server-side architecture and APIs, collaborating with frontend teams on the MERN stack.

I’m an AWS Certified Backend Engineer with 4+ years of experience building scalable, high-traffic backend systems and APIs. I specialize in Node.js, GraphQL (Apollo Federation), microservices, and real-time systems backed by MongoDB and Redis, and I’m hands-on with architecture, API design, and delivery end-to-end. I’ve built containerized, Kubernetes-deployed (AWS EKS) services with a strong focus on reliability, caching strategies, and performance.

In my recent roles, I owned a 9-service Apollo Federation backend for a high-traffic platform with 6 federated subgraphs, JWT propagation, and Redis-backed response caching (24-hour persisted-query TTL). I implemented latency-sensitive gRPC inter-service communication using 10+ Protocol Buffer contracts, and delivered live scoring via federated GraphQL subscriptions over WebSockets with Redis pub/sub powering 13+ real-time channels. I also built multi-tenant, REST-heavy backends (379 endpoints, 54 Mongoose models) with tiered pricing and dual payment rails (Stripe Connect and GoCardless), plus Socket.IO collaborative editing with Redis locks and BullMQ/Bull-on-Redis workers for scheduling and transactional messaging.
