I’m a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist with over 4 years of experience in insurance verification, patient billing, claim submission, accounts receivable management, and financial communication. In my current full-remote role, I verify patient insurance coverage across primary care and behavioral health, document verification outcomes on a tracker, and flag patient charts with benefits received. I coordinate patient outreach through phone, email, and patient portal messaging to help patients understand financial responsibilities.

I resolve billing escalations and investigate insurance claim denials using phone and online portals, while also analyzing denial trends to identify root causes by payer, provider, or service type. I process copayments and deductibles according to insurance guidelines, and I send super bills and related receipts to patients.

Previously, I handled end-to-end billing and collections for HMO and private clients, preparing and submitting primary and secondary claims, verifying eligibility and pre-authorizations, and reducing claim rejections through coding and documentation audits. I’ve supported onboarding and training for new hires, and I maintain high standards of HIPAA compliance while working across billing, finance, and clinical teams.
