Igor May Wensing

I am currently a Data Scientist focused on LLMops at the Court of Auditors of the State of Santa Catarina (TCE-SC). My work involves leveraging large language models (LLMs) and Big Data infrastructure to automate the analysis of public documents, detect irregularities, and optimize public spending. A significant initiative I lead is the VigIA project, which integrates LLMs with robust data pipelines in the Cloudera CDP ecosystem. This project enhances oversight by analyzing billions of reais in public expenditures, addressing the challenge of dark data in the public sector, and dramatically reducing audit times while increasing the volume of documents processed.

In my previous role as a Software Engineer at General Electric - Grid Solutions, I ensured system integration and performance of electrical grids with a microservices architecture. I developed and optimized code in C++, Python, and scripts for high performance, participated in code reviews, and implemented CI/CD with Jenkins to boost productivity. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Computer Science from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, where I gained solid knowledge in algorithms, data structures, and artificial intelligence, culminating in a thesis exploring Reinforcement Learning and Decision Trees.
