At UNAM, I teach statistics, econometrics, mathematics, and quantitative methods, and currently supervise undergraduate theses in applied macroeconomics and econometrics. I’ve taught more than 90 undergraduate and graduate courses.
As a Senior Consultant for CONAHCYT, I processed large-scale data and worked on evaluation methodologies and national indicator modeling. I also served as a co-evaluator of Mexico City’s citizen security policy, analyzing crime indicators, territorial governance, and budget effectiveness.
My research examines technological and product innovation in Mexican manufacturing. In my PhD thesis, I used machine learning to analyze its determinants; other work applies fractional-response and two-part models to ESIDET-INEGI microdata with complex survey designs.
I work with R, Python, Stata, and SQL to clean and analyze complex data, build reproducible workflows, and communicate methods and results to technical and non-technical audiences. I also teach programming and modeling with Python.
