I’m a detail-oriented FHA Mortgage Underwriter with hands-on experience in FHA mortgage underwriting, credit risk assessment, and federal regulatory compliance. I evaluate complex loan applications end-to-end, analyzing multi-source income documentation, assets, and property appraisals to determine eligibility and risk acceptability.

In my current role at United Wholesale Mortgage, I use Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Product Advisor (LP) to manage automated and manual underwrite decisions, clear conditions, and escalate complex scenarios within established risk frameworks. I document underwriting rationale to support TRID, HMDA, and RESPA requirements, and I calculate DTI/LTV to align decisions with FHA/HUD guidelines.

I communicate directly with independent mortgage brokers and loan processors by phone and email to resolve file conditions quickly and accurately, and I’ve consistently met SLA targets while becoming a leading floor performer shortly after hire. I also adapt to ongoing FHA guideline updates by refining my checklists and workflows to maintain compliance and throughput.
