Harold Tatum

I’m an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a Masters of Science in Nursing (August 2020) and earlier BSN (August 2014). I’ve built my career across cardiac intensive care and transplant-critical environments.

In locums and hospital roles, I provide compassionate care to critically ill cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients, including care for heart transplant and lung transplant patients, CABG, and valve repair/replacements. I’m comfortable managing advanced heart therapies such as ECMO, LVAD, Impella, and the Intra-aortic Balloon pump, and treating complex illness including shock, sepsis, and multi-organ failure.

I also contribute through multidisciplinary rounds and collaborative care with residents, fellows, RN staff, and respiratory therapists, addressing patients’ physical, psychosocial, emotional needs for holistic outcomes. Previously, I served as an Assistant Nurse Manager and earlier as a Cardiac ICU/Coronary Care RN, strengthening my strengths in triage, staffing assignments, audits, and staff development.
