I’m a Senior Software Engineer with 20+ years building scalable backend systems and production-grade machine learning and computer-vision solutions. I blend deep Java and Python distributed-systems engineering on AWS with hands-on applied ML for face recognition, object detection, and video analytics.
In recent roles, I built and operated backend services for real-time device health and diagnostics across hundreds of microservices on AWS, processing ~10B events/month with Kafka-based event processing and reliability/observability via CloudWatch. I also shipped offline-first biometric time-and-attendance with on-device facial recognition and liveness/anti-spoofing, plus an admin portal and Brazilian labor compliance.
Earlier, I led the facial-recognition engine for Carol Clock-In behind 1.8M+ daily clock-ins and co-invented a granted US patent (US11763605B2). I bring PhD-level rigor, technical leadership, and daily AI-assisted, agentic development (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to deliver dependable systems, including LLM-powered features in production.
