At PrepX, I built and launched the React Native/Expo app, where students answer approximately 30,000 questions per week. I also built a retrieval-augmented tutoring agent that finds textbook and past-exam material with source references.
I implemented offline content storage, streamed AI responses, and live competition flows, and integrated search across 1,824 curriculum topics. I led a four-person engineering team and contributed to backend services and the dashboard.
At Liqawnt Labs, I’m fine-tuning Pocket TTS on Amharic speech and preparing data for model adaptation and evaluation. I built an internal evaluation benchmark and ran reinforcement learning experiments on intonation, prosody, and accent fidelity.
I’ve also delivered software development and maintenance across Dymnd and Keyring, and authored react-native-ajora, a React Native AI chat library used in PrepX. My Biomedical Engineering thesis was an ulcer-monitoring wearable prototype connecting foot-pressure sensors to a clinician dashboard.
