Gunisha Kaur

I am a data scientist with a Master of Data Science from the University of British Columbia and three years of professional experience building scalable data pipelines and machine learning systems. I hold the Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification and have hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud services.

Throughout my roles, I have engineered automated ETL processes, implemented Medallion Architecture in Databricks, and reduced manual processing time through validation pipelines. I have built vision and NLP-based models, including a BERT-based resume shortlisting system using Hugging Face Transformers.

I led integration of Azure OpenAI with multimodal perception systems to deliver conversational guidance for visually impaired users and created a Flask web interface for interactive model evaluation. I also developed real-time Power BI dashboards with DAX measures to improve stakeholder decision-making.

My projects include winning a hackathon with an AI-driven food quality and redistribution platform and building a wildfire insights dashboard using Altair. I prioritize production-ready, well-documented solutions, user-centered design, and transferable cloud engineering skills.
