Certified Professional Coder transforming complex clinical notes into accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS data.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Certified Professional Coder (CPC-A) with a strong track record in clinical data abstraction, diagnostic and procedural coding, and health informatics. I translate complex, unstructured documentation into accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II datasets.
In my humanitarian-focused work with Team fEMR, I standardize raw clinical data from South American refugee camps and disaster relief zones. I abstract and code diverse, non-traditional charts under low-resource conditions, navigating a lightweight, open-source, off-grid EHR platform while protecting continuous data integrity.
Previously at NOALA SOLUTIONS, I performed clinical documentation reviews and coding data quality audits to support compliance and reduce coding-related rejections. I reviewed SOAP notes to assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes, validated medical necessity, applied modifiers, and used payer portals (such as Availity and UHC/Cigna/Oscar Health) to research policy requirements before claim submission.
I’m also experienced in coding-related denial management, including root-cause analysis and appeal documentation. I audit against AAPC standards and NCCI edits to improve accuracy, clear backlogs, and strengthen revenue integrity—so clinical documentation consistently converts into structured data for long-term public health research.
