Gisele Abissegue

I am a UK-certified international medical graduate with over three years of clinical experience and a Master’s in Global Public Health. My journey in healthcare has been marked by a commitment to patient support and education, particularly in digital health training. I thrive in both physical and virtual healthcare settings, demonstrating adaptability and excellent communication skills.

Currently, I support surgical theatres at UHL while also offering NHS App training to the community. My experience as a Theatre Support Assistant has honed my skills in surgical preparation, infection control, and post-operative care. I take pride in mentoring new staff and ensuring adherence to safety protocols, which reflects my dedication to fostering a collaborative and safe healthcare environment.

In addition to my clinical roles, I have actively contributed to mental health support and community training initiatives. My leadership experience includes organizing health outreach programs for displaced communities and securing funding for health-related projects. I am passionate about making healthcare accessible and improving health literacy among underserved populations.
