Gilbert Hernandez

I’m a Senior Applications Developer with 20+ years of programming and app/web development experience, and the last 6 years focused on mobile development. I specialize in iOS mobile development and I’m currently building with Swift at the QI Group.

At Quest Ion IT Philippines, I translate business requirements into new app capabilities, collaborate with my team to define specifications, and deliver high-quality code on schedule. I work with Swift & XCode using API integration, CocoaPods, and Git, while staying current with iOS SDK updates.

Earlier in my career, I led technology operations as an I.T. Manager, acting as an overall assistant to the Managing Director in operations and making final decisions for company computer and electronic systems (software and hardware). I designed, developed, and maintained websites and internal systems including inventory, warehouse, payroll, and a Japan online-buying system, along with setup and maintenance of SAGE Accounting, computer networking, and online video security systems.

I’m also motivated by growth beyond iOS—at the moment, I’m trying Flutter and other cross-platform technologies. I bring strong systems thinking, reliable delivery habits, and a long track record of web, mobile, networking, and security-related development and administration.
